So already now you understand that citizen journalism is owned by the people which brings out the aspect of democratic participation.
To add on, Zimbabwe is a signatory to the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights, to uphold and protect freedom of expression.
The constitution of Zimbabwe again guarantees the freedom of expression and the right to impart ideas and share any other information.
However, Citizen Journalism and exercising freedom of expression comes with great responsibility of ethics which shall be covered in the next lesson.
